Basement colour

A garden-in-the-city basement area, bright with annuals. The white paint on the walls is used to reflect as much light as possible.

  1. That's lovely Linda, imagine how lovely it would be if everyone displayed even a few flowers around their homes and how good it would be for the bees too

  2. Linda, this is such a beautiful picture. I showed it to my husband and told him that we needed to move to Scotland and get a flat or a basement apartment so I could decorate the steps with flowers like this. Of course, I got the "look". lol.........but Im not going to quit trying to get him to move! Have a wonderful day!

  3. Such beautifully lined with flowers. Just read from one McCall Smith book how there is lot of these stairs in Edinburgh and they might be dangerous. One character in a book dies and falls in this kind of stairs.

  4. This is such a beautifully composed photograph. You've included all my favorite elements - a door, window, stairs, and flowers. It's bright and interesting. Well done!

  6. It's so easy to beautify a doorway instead of dreary basement steps.
Beauteous find and a great shot, too.
