Skywatch Friday - walk the walk

The brilliant pink big top cum pavillion at a medieval joust - part of the set-up for Edinburgh's Moonwalk on Sunday night. Over 10,000 women and men will walk the walk over a 26 or 13 mile course through the city to raise money for breast cancer research, wearing decorated bras.

The big pink start tent is in Inverleith Park, with Edinburgh Castle as a backdrop.

  7. This would be a perfect post for Pink Saturday too. How pretty the blue sky and white fluffy clouds look behind that lovely luscious pink.

  8. Those tents are sure striking. For a good cause too. Is everything in Edinburgh somehow related to the castle? It´s so often in the horizon.

  12. Now that's what I call pink! Like the shot with the castle in the background.

Re your comment on the Wolf of Badenoch, what fun to (perhaps) be related to a well known figure from the past.......however infamous!

We may pass you as you head up our way soon.......we're off to Edinburgh!! If you see the two of us on the motorbike make sure you wave!

  19. Sunday is Naked Hiker day in the U.S.

Somehow I think walking in decorated bras to raise money for a good cause is more morally pleasing choice.

    Are you going to participate?

  21. Sylvia asked if I was going to participate. Not this year, but my daughter and I might start with the HalfMoon (13 miles) next year, if we're lucky enough to get a place. We'll have to train, tho.
