Not ours this time, but spotted in the 'area' (the front courtyard) of a New Town basement flat. Any guesses as to what it is? The curve of the red roof line maybe gives a clue? I'll post the answer in due course, but I'm sure it's not that hard.

Edited to say that I should have been more specific - I meant the red thing! The blue flower is a campanula that is something of a weed in Edinburgh, and particularly in nooks and crannies in the New Town.

  3. It reminds me of a clematis. That wall color with the textures makes that a fantastic photo.

  4. I'm finding it quite hard!

I thought maybe a car bonnet but that would probably be a bit too big for a front courtyard.

  5. Some kind of bin turned over? Curious now. Lovely flowers, not weeds we get, and great colors.

Thanks for the comment on my blog, I appreciate the encouraging words.

  6. The picture certainly has beautiful colors in it. Though I don't know what the red/pink thing is, my guess is a cement wall that was painted.

  7. I love this colour combination. Great shot. I have no idea what the structure is though! Thanks for your comment on my SWF picture. I so agree - maybe we should have the summer hols in June! Trust the Brits to have global warming which just means more rain in the summers - like we needed that!!!
