Skywatch Friday - walking on the pointy bits
More photos taken by my daughter on her school 'Project' in Skye and Kintail.
Scottish hills have a lot of thin pointy bits at the top.
Below, that well-known sport of skiing without skis.
The clearest of clear water for when you're thirsty.
More skies around the world are at Skywatch Friday.
What beautiful rocky mountains. I love that the kids have such wonderful adventures as part of school.
ReplyDeleteAt White Sands, New Mexico, not too far from here, people "ski" on the pure gypsum dunes. It's so white it looks like especially clean snow, but it's hot. Hot.
These are marvelous photos. I love the second one almost as much as I like the title of this post.
That is one amazing ridge to traverse. I have never been to Skye - it looks such a very beautiful and awe inspiring place.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog and for your very lovely comments.
What amazing photos! I would more than likely have been scared to walk all the way up on top of the mountain like that though with such a drop below me!
ReplyDeleteLooks like they're on the top of the world!!
ReplyDeleteThat is incredible scenery - great shots. Our mountains have pieces like that too, but I tend not to walk on them!
ReplyDeletethe picture of the kids skiing is brilliant. i love how teens will just adapt to a situation and even though they aren't dressed for skiing, there's no stopping them.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter has an eye for the camera! Loved them ALL!!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful shots! What a great experience!
ReplyDeleteCool shots. I'm too afraid of heights to be walking on the sharp top of the mountain. Those kids are pretty brave.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo series from the mountains. It is a completely different nature than I'm used to.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week.
Greeting Nordis
