You think of a clever title for this one
A very clean lamb enjoys the evening sunshine on Skye. A very domesticated lamb:
Seen as we walked along Waterloo Road, Broadford, this summer. The road gets its name from the large number of soldiers who settled there in 1815 after the Napoleonic wars.
And yes, suggestions for a title for this post, please. After a flat-out week at work, a Friday night drive up to Moray, and in the middle of a weekend of helping my now house-bound father with accumulated chores, I can't get beyond the laughably obvious. Sometimes I long for title-less posts.
There's always "Little lamb, who made thee?" Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about titles! Love the lamb!
ReplyDeleteHope you get caught up with your chores. You are spreading yourself pretty thin.
Such a sweet, soft, little lamb. Oh girl, I'm terrible with titles. How about 'Lamb of the House'? haha. You sound very busy with work and family. I hope you get a nice get away somewhere lovely and treat us to pictures :) Cheers, Jenni
ReplyDeleteObvious or not, I think of a "Watchlamb". Or a longer one: "Those who live here are vegetarians".
ReplyDeleteOh, I just want to wrap my arms around it and squeeeeeeeeeze!
ReplyDelete"Making beautiful wool is hard work"
ReplyDeleteWhere is Mary?
ReplyDeleteMary had a little lamb?
ReplyDeleteMary's front porch
ReplyDeleteMarie Antoinette would have loved this little lamb and whisked him/her off to Le Petit Trianon before you could say "mouton".
ReplyDeleteMy new pet :)
ReplyDelete"just finished my bubbly bath and am drying off, here in the sun".
ReplyDeletegorgeous sheep. very soft and woolly looking.
Well you are an inventive lot! Much better titles than I could have come up with. It's been fun seeing what the various suggestions might reveal - those who are fond of bubble baths, or those who see fleece and think of knitting wool, for example.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shot!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the soft colors and the fleecy critter!
I thought of "Dolly"! But you know, your posts are so great, if you numbered them I would be just as happy. I've always wondered why it was called Waterloo Road by the way! How amazing. Hope you're recovering from what sounds like a strenuous weekend. (And thanks so much for all your encouraging comments.)
ReplyDeleteAnd still the suggestions keep coming! Christine, I should have thought of Dolly, as Scotland's most famous sheep.
ReplyDeleteTami, I don't think I realised at the time quite how warm the light was. The light, that is - not the temperature. The shot was taken around 9.30 on a July evening, and the sun was quite low in the sky. There was also a stiff wind blowing, hence the lamb's sheltered spot.
I have enough trouble thinking of titles for my own posts. Think of one for you too? Ewe must be joking!
ReplyDelete(sorry)
What beautiful light in the photo.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw it I thought it was on shelf. 'Sheep on a shelf' came to mind. ' 'Lamb in low light'?
"Lost? LOST? I'm not lost! I'm right here. It's Little Bo Peep who's gone MIA."
ReplyDeleteKEEKS!
ReplyDeleteLove your images, including the fantastic light!
