Paralympics

With the closing ceremony of the Paralympics about to start, here's a themed window - an osteopath's clinic which always has a topical window display.

  2. Hello, I come to you via Marcheline - a circuitous journey, since we too live in Edinburgh! I'm enjoying your blog. Interesting seeing Scotland through another Scotland-dweller's eyes. And you do take good photos.

  6. That's hilarious, in a slightly weird and morbid way. We're all the same under the skin, I suppose.

  7. I loved the photo! Someone has a great sense of humor.

The paralympics is such a great thing. It gives those who participate a chance to show that being disabled does not need to keep one down. It is amazing what some of them can do.

  9. That's brilliant - good on them!!! The Paralympics have been every bit as good as the Olympics. I hope they have changed peoples perception of disability forever :)

  11. Wacky window dressing - good also for the upcoming Samhain season! Glad to see Isabelle followed me over here. Wish we could all get together for some haggis, neeps, and tatties! And single malt, of course...

  12. Creepy humor, for sure. When we first arrived in New Mexico, we had a hard time with some of the Day of the Dead festivities because they seemed so strange. The picture that will always stay with me - laughing children, crunching on sugar candy skulls.
