Irresistible autumn

The blogsphere is full of autumn photos just now, so why not a few more to celebrate this loveliest of seasons.

Below, Rothes Old Cemetery.  On the other side of the wall is a whisky warehouse, giving rise to many local quips about the 'spiritual' location of the cemetery.

The distillery itself, against a background of autumn colour.

  4. I don't think I ever get tired of looking at autumn photos. We don't have much if any fall in Northwest Texas and go from summer to winter so I really miss the season changes of autumn and spring. :) We are just now getting cooler weather here which I've been waiting very patiently for! Ha

  6. How very beautiful! I like the garland of leaves - I've never seen that before. Funny about the jokes re. the cemetery being across from the distillery. Do most of them involve a play on the word "spirit" perhaps?

  12. Thank you for the autumn leaves! We are seeing them here too, but on my street they have not quite reached the point of falling off the trees yet. I never tire of autumn with its blazing colors!

  13. When I went to Scotland, it was this time of year. Seeing these photos, I can smell the air, feel the wind, taste the whisky. Mmmmmmm! Thanks!

  15. How lovely Scotland is in the autumn! Has the four letter word made an appearance yet? ((((whispering....."snow")))) It has been unseasonable warm here in Colorado - I have even snapped a photo of pansies blooming in a pile of leaves.
