  2. I always get a lump in my throat when I see pictures like these. My grandfather fought in WWI and my father fought in WWII.

    ..."We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields."

  5. We celebrate Veterans Day in the US today. It is a sobering day and a day of remembrance for all of those soldiers who gave up their lives to keep us safe. :)
    What a beautiful remembrance to mark this day.

  6. It is important to remember those who gave their lives in war - in America, our Memorial Day is at the end of May. Now if we could only figure out how to live without war...
