Skywatch Friday - low-lying sky
A finger of sea fog probes Little Loch Broom.
A boat heads home on the wind off the sea.
The houses on the other side of the loch gleam in the last of the sun.
Skies from around the world are on the Skywatch Friday site.
Really beautiful shots of the low lying clouds.
ReplyDeleteGlad you included the shots of the boat and houses to give them scale.
Linda - this photo was taken on part of the South Downs Way, at Chanctonbury Ring. There are also lots of awesome walks in Sussex that are either totally off the Way or only incorporate part of it and have the added bonus of being less infested. (I like to be antisocial when I go walking).
ReplyDelete(I double posted this as I'm being anally retentive!).
Anyway - gorgeous shots, it looks very 'Celtic mystical'.
Occasional blogs - rock on!
(Might have had too much coffee)
Beautiful photos Linda, that is something you dont' see every day. Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteI think our mysterious Manx mist has gone on holiday to your area. This is incredibly low, and I am used to such a sight. Marvellous.
ReplyDeleteYou always have the most amazing views looking down from a hillside. Makes me want to travel away from the flatlands here. These are beautiful shots and I especially like the one with the boat. Nice glimmer of sunlight on the water in the second one, too.

ReplyDeleteThis is how I imagine Scotland, when I imagine it. So soft and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love these shots Linda, I love how when it's foggy things appear and disappear form one moment to the next.
ReplyDeleteNow this was eerie stuff and so beautiful too. It was like that boat was haunted or something.
ReplyDeleteLinda, this is such a beautiful series of photographs. I love it when the fog comes in like this and then burns off slowly. Beautiful country, such lovely colours.
