A foggy week, beginning with rose-tinted morning mist on Tuesday, and ending with thick-as-cotton-wool freezing fog on Friday. December's shot of Edinburgh Castle and the Water of Leith was taken at 8.25 a.m. on Tuesday 8 December.
November's shot:
And October's:
The mist on Tuesday was low enough for the skyline of Calton Hill and Arthur's Seat to be visible.

We are sharing your fog here today. Very atmospheric. I'm happy to have made a hearty vegetable soup yesterday in anticipation of the weather for today!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so cold! I don't think I could cope with living any further north than I do now.
ReplyDeleteI like the Scottish winter feel to the first shot.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the first picture is the most wintery and looks cold I think I like it best. It's a great idea to show the same place at different times of year.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely! Whether its October or December. Sunny or misty........I love it! Again, you are so lucky to have such an amazing view on your walk and to live in such a great city! Jealous!!! lol
ReplyDeleteVery nice misty shot !
ReplyDeleteI really like the shots on your way to work. The misty shot is wonderful. I hope it isn't too cold with that fog.
ReplyDeleteLovely misty picture! I like it.
ReplyDeleteAll of a sudden you were a finn. Strange but cool. The last one was so great. The silhouettes were so unusual.
