View from the Bridge
A more scenic view of Cockenzie Power Station - the two chimneys on the horizon to the right of the shot. This was taken from Edinburgh's North Bridge, looking out across the jumble of the Old Town to the misty blue Firth of Forth and the coast of East Lothian. The sun is just rising, at 9.00 a.m.
Gorgous soft skies. Hopefully that slightly makes up for not having sunlight until 9am. I was horrified to find myself putting on the lights at 3 today - but only a few more days until it will start turning again.
ReplyDeleteGreat view - I've never stopped on the bridge long enough to look at the scenery, I am usually too busy trying to dodge the melee of corporation buses and taxis. Thanks for showing it - there must be loads of beautiful sights we pass by without noticing. I will try to be more mindful the nex time.
ReplyDeleteSunrise at 9o'clock, short days which I hate but I love your photos.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures - I've never walked over the bridge nor gone up Arthur's Seat - I've just seen the skyline from inside the castle grounds but never at sunrise.
ReplyDeleteIt´s a wonderful time to be out at winter. When the sun is just rising. Magic.
