Rows of exam desks in the University of Edinburgh's Playfair Library. Used as a working library from the 1820s through to the 1960s, it's now the venue for prestigious dinners, receptions, lectures...and exams.
I love that first photo, Linda. The perspective of the view through the doorway makes me feel hushed. I wonder if the students feel inspired to sit for their exams in such a beautiful hall.
