Exam season...to the end

Rows of exam desks in the University of Edinburgh's Playfair Library. Used as a working library from the 1820s through to the 1960s, it's now the venue for prestigious dinners, receptions, lectures...and exams.

  1. What a beautiful room! Love the ceiling and all the busts lined up down the sides. Who are the busts portraying?

  2. I love that first photo, Linda. The perspective of the view through the doorway makes me feel hushed. I wonder if the students feel inspired to sit for their exams in such a beautiful hall.

  3. wow , this is a beautiful place to take an exam !
