Bouncing baby

A beautiful carriage pram, much sought-after in some quarters nowadays. I've just finished reading a book about life in Britain in the Second World War, in which I discovered that there was a great shortage of prams and pushchairs. A pram like this would have been snapped up immediately.

Or perhaps not when you see its occupant.

  1. Even in Oz!! I still have one somewhere in a daughters shed.I think we had paid for it when the 4th child was born! Great for bouncing over rough farm paddocks to get them to sleep.
    Not sure about the pig!!

  2. Oh, your second photo certainly surprised me! The pram is lovely and my daughter was able to find one in the US which was in very nice shape for her first baby. Compared to the little "umbrella strollers" out now, it seems almost like a car and quite sturdy!

Thanks for visiting my blog and making a comment. Merci.

  5. Gosh, Edinburgh has its little surprises, doesn't it? I guess it is not as formal there as I was thinking. (I looked up SassyStryker).

  10. You made me laugh out loud! I remember my mother had two of these stored in our basement when I was a kid. This one is a beauty (inside and out!)
