Glove, with snow

That's about it, really. Life is super-busy in our household just now, so anything more tonight is beyond me. As an example of our busy-ness: next week teenage son will be in Geneva for 3 days, visiting the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, off to Loughborough (England) for more aerospace engineering interviews 15 hours after he returns from Switzerland, at school for a day, then up to Aberdeen for a weekend orchestra project. There's more, but it makes me feel quite faint to think about it.

  1. Very intelligent picture. If you turn it by 90 degrees clockwise (I turned my laptop) it looks like an angel with rabbit ears.

I like your photos very much so I am transmitting you the Kreativ Blogger award. You can visit http://liegecitydailyphoto.blogspot.com/ to pick up the award. Please don't feel obliged to transmit it to anyone if you don't like chain awards.

  2. That's a very atmospheric photo - I wonder what the glove's story is? Who dropped it? Where were they going in such a rush?

Good luck to your son (and to you for dealing with the stress!).

  3. Linda, I just wanted you to know that I always come by to see your latest photo. I'm more than familiar with the feeling of having a lot going on - seems like every day is like this for me these days, which is why my brain can't usually think of something worthwhile to say when I visit.

I am often really touched by the familiarity of your photos. It's the simple things that get me. Who else would think to photograph something as pedestrian as a fire hydrant, yet these are the stuff that makes Scotland what it is to me in the sense that it is different from Kansas.

Thanks for what you do. There are people out here who love it :-)

  8. Thank you all for commenting. And thank you so much, Greg, for the award. I'll collect it at the weekend when I have more time (I'm a bit slow on the technical uptake sometimes, so I need time to do this sort of thing!)

Alison, what a sweet thing to say! Glad to send a bit of Scotland your way. I have to admit that the workmen who watched me take this photo were, shall we say, incredulous.

  9. I love this pic. I've blogged about lost shoes and lost gloves before, but this is a special pic. Love the cobbles stones.

  10. I love how the snow is only on the glove. Awesome colors and textures in this one!

I hope your son is having good experiences on his college hunt.
