Skywatch Friday - show it like it is
After two weeks of indian summer, autumn set in today with lowering skies and drizzle. Arthur's Seat disappears into the mist at the left of the shot, while the monuments on Calton Hill look as unexciting as the tenement flats in the foreground.
It was a bit of a relief, actually. This is real.
Other skies, some of them blue, at Skywatch Friday.
I have to admit, I always love these soupy skies!
ReplyDeleteWow - that is some serious rain!
ReplyDeleteBut you are right, show it like it is, all of nature's sides are beautiful and should be appreciated!
The shape of things to come eh?..... Ah well, better get used to it.
ReplyDeleteAhh, that is the one thing I do not miss: the constant drizzle and haze. Occasionally I adored it, especially when out for a walk in dire need of clearing my head, but other times it was just awful... :)
ReplyDeleteI like it it's so Scottish
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks like a snow storm with the haziness. Beautiful, wet or not!
ReplyDeleteI have a piece of flair on my facebook that says: When it rains, I imagine Im in Scotland! lol
Hope your doing well!
This is an amazing photo. So much history in all of the buildings in that picture. Our country is so young compared to yours and our buildings don't have many stories to tell.
ReplyDeleteI actually adore this sort of weather. And it's so good for the skin.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the change of season, a very noticeable change in colors is not far behind.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely capture Linda.
ReplyDeleteSmiles
Autumn has come: charming image with a great atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteIndian summer is still here in Besançon ,that's amazing !
ReplyDeleteThe sky is always blue above the clouds :)
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
Definitely looking winterish over there. Change is good, though. Nice misty shot!
ReplyDeleteThere's something comforting about these types of days.
